Brian is a singer/songwriter, drummer, philosopher-at-large, social activist and spiritual seeker.
For almost his entire adult life Brian has walked a uncommon path, choosing self-realization over everything else. Brian has worked tirelessly to understand the deeper meanings and higher purpose of life. It has been his life’s mission to find answers to questions like: Why is there so much suffering in the world? What is the meaning of existence? and, What is true happiness? His search for truth has taken him through the dark side and back: from years of severe depression and alcoholism to the joy of being. Through studying, meditation and self-reflection Brian has found the way of peace, love and compassion, for all living beings, to be the highest path. Brian now seeks to share his truth through his music and his writings.

Brian has a degree in Philosophy and a degree in Hospitality Management, both from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He also attended graduate school at UCLA.
From January 2000 – April 2001 he lived in South Korea and worked as an English teacher.
He played drums on the 2009 Ufonik album, Dreaming of Another Life.
Brian is also an Aikido student, and he writes regularly on his blog here at briancoe.net.
