A great movie has come along that I strongly encourage everybody to watch. It’s call “Thrive.” You can watch it for free on their website: www.thrivemovement.com, but I have posted a You Tube version here.
Thrive basically asks the question of humanity, “Why are we not all thriving?” The premise assumes we are all meant to thrive and then seeks to uncover why that is not the case. The movie is inspiring and enlightening and is a message so important for today’s troubled world.
Although the film addresses some subjects which to some are controversial, such as corruption, greed and a global domination agenda of the few acting against the best interests of the many, Thrive ends with real solutions and a positive message of non-violence and non-violation.
Great film. Great message.
Please share it with your friends and spread the word!
Human beings are lights of consciousness that are capable of creating a joyful and fulfilling life. Considering this, and when you take a look at the world we live in, you would think we would choose to do some different things. Things that made us happier. Why don’t we?
One reason is because the minds of humans are conditioned from childhood with events, images and people demonstrating a way of life common to members of our tribe. We learn how to behave, what is expected of us and what a ‘normal’ life is. Many of our ideas about life are based on what other people tell us. We seldom ask the big questions and hardly ever consider another way to be possible. We live within a self-imposed box, confining our unlimited spirits to mundane routine and competition.
But if we are fortunate we will listen to our feelings that are telling us that life is more than living in a box. If we pay attention to those feelings more, and let them grow, they will help us recreate our life based on our deepest desires rather than on what society expects from us. It’s true that we are conditioned by a social system and this makes it very hard to recognize that life could be more, but it is also true that we are responsible for our own happiness. To be joyful is a choice, therefore we should choose to do things that make us happy. As simple as that is it is the truth, there is a better way.
What are affirmations?
Affirmations are repeatable statements that proclaim a desirable truth.
Why do affirmations work?
The effectiveness of affirmations is built on the truth that our thoughts create our reality. Change our thought patterns and we change our world. Evidence for this is found in the experiences of people who have consciously chosen to embrace new ways of thinking and have then seen the resultant changes in their lives. Switching from fear-based thoughts to positive and self-reinforcing thoughts will bring the individual, and consequently our society, a favorable change in circumstances. Therefore, in order to best utilize the creative power of the universe it is wise to create specific thoughts that will bring to us what we desire.
The following are just a few of an infinite number of affirmations. Repeat regularly. They can be memorized or written down for future reference. It is beneficial to practice writing our own based on what we would like to create in our life. Using positive language and gratitude will create the most effective affirmations.

All that we want to become is simply a matter of imagination combined with right thinking, and followed by right action.
